GOOD HUMOUR AND HILARIOUS TIME WITH DOGHOUSE SKIFFLE GROUP AT THE RWMF

DOGHOUSE SKIFFLEWhen they came to perform at the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) in 2004, they had the audiences in stitches with their hilarious antics.
 
This year Doghouse Skiffle Group from Hull, England, is coming back and they are expected to inject the same wit and charm in their act. They will be among the 20 bands that will be performing at the festival next week.

While they are hilarious, the trio of Keith Cheesman, Alan Harman and Garry Pullen are also accomplished musicians- making good music with home-made instruments like  guitar, tea-chest bass and washboard.

To catch Doghouse Skiffle Group and the other 19 bands, head to the Sarawak Cultural Village where the RWMF will be stage this coming July 13 to 15. 

Organised by Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), the festival will features other renowned world music performers like Randy Raine Reusch from Canada, Huun Huur Tu who will perform with Malerija (Tuva and Russia), Tarika Be (Madagascar), Khac Chi (Vietnam), Shannon (Poland), Mah Meri (Malaysia), Ensemble Kaboul (Afghanistan), Inka Marka (Peru, Chile, Australia), Foghorn Stringband (USA), Tammorra (Italy), Shooglenifty (Scotland), Black Umfolosi (Zimbabwe), Mas Y Mas (UK) and Aseana Percussion Units (Malaysia).

Sarawak’s very own musicians namely Jerry Kamit, Tabuh Pak Ainal, Anak Adi’ Rurum and Kelapang Bamboo Band will also take centre stage during the festival.
